We have three areas of the hotel and they are all suited for different styles. In terms of your room, I am sorry to hear you thought they were dated. I will be highlighting this to the spa managers as cleanliness is our priority. With regards to the spa facilities I am sorry to find they were not the standards we like to uphold.

The staff were very professional throughout and attentive. Minor touches but this can make all the difference. Slight criticism the therapist did not ask about pressure of the massage or offer a glass of water following treatment. The treatment rooms are of a good size and the treatments were nice. The sauna and steam room is separated for male and females so if going as a couple this may be an issue. The large jacuzzi is a tad cold so I recommend using the outside or smaller one. I recommend the sticky toffee pud this was delicious! The grounds are beautiful and I highly recommend having a wonder around as there is plenty to see. Upon arrival we were greeted with our robes and given a tour but rather disappointingly slippers are not provided they charge for these so top bring your own flip flops! Lunch selection was very nice despite originally bringing out the wrong starters this was quickly rectified. Despite it being Mothering Sunday weekend the spa was not over crowded which was nice. Recently took my mum and sister to the Utopia Spa. I cannot recommend both the hotel and spa highly enough and we will definitely be returning. They were friendly, helpful and polite and I cannot think of one thing that I felt was lacking. Nothing was too much trouble and, all of them went that extra mile to make sure that our stay was just perfect. After the most wonderful sleep, on the most comfortable beds, we finished our stay with breakfast the next morning, which was hearty and again delicious! All the staff were an absolute credit to the hotel.

We started and finished the evening with a drinks in the Champagne bar which was perfect. Had a delicious meal in Reflections, the food was all prepared to a high standard and neither of us could fault anything.

We spent the afternoon in the Spa and having spent a few hours enjoying the facilites felt wonderfully relaxed for our evening. The decor was gorgeous and although the room and ensuite were both a very good size, the bedroom still had a cosy feel. It was an anniversary treat, and treat it certainly was! The hotel and grounds are beautiful and our room was a delight to stay in. Just come back from a fabulous one night stay.
